My struggle to save memorials of architecture and culture in Moscow
One of the things I did after moving to Moscow to live permanently in Russia in 1992, was to start squatting with the widespread squatters movement in Moscow's beautiful old abandoned buildings. Later in 1996, I found myself in a position in which my heart would not let me run away from saving these wonderous memorials from illegal destruction. I had to stay and fight instead of just looking for another free building like most squatters do. Photos of memorials here! Later I felt obliged to use my resources to fight for other memorials than the ones I lived in. About myself here. Articles and papers here.
This site is under construction, so sorry for the mess. It will be improved.
